AN OLD POOR FARM TO
A GREAT BOUTIQUE HOTEL
THE OLD SHOSHONE COUNTY POOR FARM AND INFIRMARY WAS CONSTRUCTED IN THE EARLY 1900'S, AND HAD ITS FIRST PICTURE IN 1910. IT WAS BUILT BY THE COUNTY FOR THE POOR AND INFIRMED. THE FOREST SERVICE MOVED INTO THE BUILDING IN 1974, AFTER USING IT FOR MANY YEARS, THEY MOVED OUT IN 2007. FOR SEVERAL YEARS AFTER THAT IT SAT VACANT UNTILL 2020. RESTORATION PROJECTS STARTED IN 2020 TO BEGIN TO BRING THIS BEAUTIFUL BUILDING THAT SO MANY PEOPLE FOUND REFUGE IN AND CALLED HOME, BACK TO ITS FORMER GLORY.
